The occupying army announced the death of two of its soldiers and the injury of more than 20 others following the explosion of a drone launched by the Iraqi resistance, targeting a military base in northern occupied Syrian Golan at dawn last Wednesday. An occupying army spokesperson stated that 24 soldiers were wounded in the attack, two of them critically. This admission by the Israeli side follows the Iraqi Islamic Resistance’s statement from last Wednesday, in which it claimed responsibility for three separate drone attacks on three targets in the northern occupied territories during the early hours of the morning. The resistance described the operation as “a continuation of the fight against occupation, in solidarity with our people in Palestine and Lebanon, and a response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against civilians, including children, women, and the elderly”.
Sources following the Iraqi resistance’s operations noted that a new atmosphere has developed among resistance leaders regarding the intensity and nature of operations, particularly after the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, whom resistance leaders regarded as the spiritual father of the resistance factions. He had been a guiding figure, providing advice on various matters as an elder brother.
In Tehran, Friday prayers transformed into a special memorial as Imam Ali Khamenei paid tribute to the leader of the resistance, the martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. He described the martyrdom as a calamity, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of such an extraordinary figure in Arab and Muslim history. Imam Khamenei emphasized that Iran would not hesitate to fulfill its duty, as it had done through its rightful defense just days earlier. He staunchly defended the Palestinian resistance’s right to launch the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, seeing it as a reflection of the Palestinian people’s legitimate right to freedom. He also lauded Lebanon’s support for this cause as a just defense worthy of appreciation. Imam Khamenei urged the resistance forces in Lebanon and Palestine to remain steadfast, asserting that the martyrdom of leaders does not lead to retreat or defeat but strengthens the resistance’s ability to achieve victory. He further attributed the occupying entity’s criminality to the support it receives from the U.S. and several Western nations.
Meanwhile, in the south, the occupying army continued its futile attempts to advance in the towns of Adaisseh, Kfar Kila, Maroun al-Ras, and Aita al-Shaab, suffering mounting losses. After four days of failed efforts, its casualties reached the hundreds. Simultaneously, hundreds of rockets rained down on northern occupied Palestine, with news agencies circulating images of fires spreading across the Galilee. A field officer from the Islamic Resistance operations room commented on the situation at the front, saying, “The images that the Israeli enemy’s army published of its soldiers near homes in a border village in southern Lebanon were taken in a location just metres away from the Occupied Territories. Everyone knows that some southern residents built homes close to the border. In order to capture these much-needed images for the embattled Netanyahu, the cost was over 20 killed and wounded among their elite soldiers, a fact that forced the Israeli military censor to cover up the event”.
The field officer continued, “On Friday afternoon, after heavy artillery and air cover, elite Israeli soldiers attempted to advance from two axes toward the towns of Maroun al-Ras and Yaroun, reaching pre-prepared ambush points. With the call ‘At your service, O Nasrallah’, the Islamic Resistance fighters detonated several explosive devices (some planted the previous day) and engaged the elite enemy officers and soldiers with light and medium weapons and rocket-propelled grenades at point-blank range. The result was multiple dead and wounded among the infiltrating forces. Those who were not injured carried their dead or wounded comrades and retreated under artillery cover from the enemy’s positions inside the Occupied Territories”. He concluded, “The Islamic Resistance fighters are monitoring, tracking, and confronting every hostile movement along the southern front, pursuing Israeli soldiers in their bases and rear positions along the entire border line within the Occupied Territories with artillery shells and volleys of rockets”.
