Successive developments in the Gaza negotiation process overshadowed tracking other big developments, such as Iranian, French, British and American elections. The second round today of Iranian presidential elections between the reform candidate Masoud Pezeshkian and the Amal candidate Hafeth Saeed Jalili, after the choice became clear between the reformist candidate’s perspective of revival of negotiations to improve relations with the West as the gateway to solving economic and political problems, and the conservative candidate’s view of self-reliance in building a strong economy, with openness towards the East, and handling the negotiations dossier cautiously in view of Iran’s past experiences teaching mistrust of the West, at its head America.
French Elections will take place on Sunday with the hypotheses of a balance between Left and Right emerging again after expectations of overwhelming victory to the Right, with a stepping down tradeoff between Left candidates and candidates of Macron’s party to block Right candidates. Meantime, British elections are under the microscope, with the Tories losing ground to the Labor Party in rounds which have actually started. The Labor Party, long absent from the political scene, is scoring wins, giving it a serious chance of defeating the Tories. Democratic Party behind the curtain leaks speak of an earnest search for a presidential candidate replacement for President Joe Biden, and discuss the possibility of an agreement between former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama on former State Secretary and Presidential candidate John Kerry as a replacement. The Gaza negotiations also overshadowed the course of the Turkish and Russian understandings about Syria following the meeting between the Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Turkish President Rajab Erdogan, after which joint workshops took off for the elucidation of such understandings.
The developments in the Gaza negotiation process stole the limelight and took precedence over other events, with new emerging data revealing the Occupation military leading a definitive path towards reaching an agreement. The Occupation’s Channel 14 quoted a high-ranking military official’s statement that the priority is for reaching at any cost an agreement to end the war, because the army is no longer able to tolerate a war with no horizon. This statement comes in conjunction with statements by other Occupation military Generals to the New York Times that prisoner exchange, a final end to the war and Hamas remaining in power in Gaza is an acceptable triad for an agreement.
Al Mukawama in Gaza and Al Mukawama Axis have won in their attrition war strategy, with the Occupation’s army reaching the critical point robbing its ability to continue fighting. Military analysts on the Occupation’s televised channels see in the background of the so called Third Phase and withdrawal from cities and areas of friction a message about readiness for a comprehensive withdrawal. The head of Mossad arrived in Doha today to start negotiations after the Occupation’s Prime Minister finding himself forced to agree to send him, and considering Hamas’ response in coordination with the mediators to the US President Joe Biden’s initiative, a positive development. According to tracking sources, the new that has been reached, is adding in between the first and second stages, a stage of negotiations for a final ending to the war during which cease fire continues, and a return to the implementation of the second and third stages after an agreement is reached.
On Lebanon’s front, Al Mukawama persevered with the response to the assassination of Commander “Abu Nimah. Hezbollah’s Executive Council Head, Al Sayed Hashem Saffieddine stated that the response had started and will continue with force and effectiveness, while yesterday and the day before witnessed the strike of hundreds of missiles and tens of drones on gatherings of the Occupation’s military, settlements, commands, bases, and iron dome reaching Acre, Nazareth, outskirts of the West Bank, and Lake Tiberias, west of the occupied Golan.
