When the explosion in Majdal Shams occurred, for which we have no evidence that it was the result of a fallen missile, which the residents of Majdal Shams said that they saw no remnants of, and the only source alleging a missile, and further alleging that it was Iranian made, was the occupation’s military, with the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin, two days before the explosion, about a high level escalation coming to the region, intuitively raises the apprehensions of any normal person not inflicted and polluted by hatred towards Al Mukawama, that this explosion could have been designed as a preface for this escalation.
Our experience with Al Mukawama and our experience with the occupation call upon us to believe Al Mukawma which does not conceal an error when it is committed, and has the courage of acknowledgement and apology. Our experience in the military sense with Al Mukawama over the last 10 months speaks of a dazzling precision in targeting, which rules out the error hypothesis. When Al Mukawama’s statement negating any connection with the matter was issued, there was not in the least any need for consideration or verification before deeming it credible. Whereas what our experience with the occupation says is that it lies with every breath, and that there have been numerous times in this war when it committed massacres and denied responsibility for them in spite of documentation of its responsibility by neutral international parties, and sometimes by parties friendly to the entity like American newspapers which published proof of the entity’s responsibility in the massacre of the Baptist Hospital. Our experience with the entity has also been that it makes many weapon discharge errors, that it has killed its soldiers and prisoners by error, and that its iron dome missiles have fallen on residential areas numerous times causing human injuries and damage to structures. However, the decisive word remains to seeing whether a purpose behind the explosion exists or if the explosion was a mere error committed by the occupation and which it is in denial of.
The political and media exploitation started with crocodile tears over the children of Majdal Shams. Those familiar with the history of the city and its decades-long fierce resistance of the occupation, know that the occupation and its leaders would have wished for a meteor to have hit it, and turned it into ashes. So how could we believe that they are sad about the killing of its youngsters, not assuming that they are the killers, by error or perhaps deliberately, and then arrives Bezalel Smotrich, who has called for the killing of every Arab, to cry the Majdal Shams children, followed by Netanyahu after his return from Washington, and the political campaign begins. Is the picture clear?
A campaign called revenge and the threat of military action in response to what happened in Majdal Shams began, and was quickly followed by American ratification of the legitimate right of self-defense, while warnings about the dangers of escalation was not directed at the entity but at Al Mukawama, and she was asked not to take any action in response to any act of aggression by the occupation because it was acting in legitimate self-defense. Then came the operation ending in the killing of the high-level commander in Hezbollah, the martyr Fuad Shukr, which crossed a thick red line, namely a big operation penetrating Al Dahieh, the southern suburb of Beirut, and Washington’s immediate declaration of support for the entity in the event of a confrontation resulting from its exercise of its right to self-defense.
Reason and logic dictate the impossibility for preparations for an operation of the scale of the assassination of Commander Fuad Shukr to be available on demand, to meet the need for a response to Majdal Shams which took place two days prior. Logic dictates the reverse, that the operation required preparations, follow up, and continuous work over months, and upon its ripening, the arrangement of a detonation in Majdal Shams as a pretext became possible. Additionally, it is impossible for the decision for an operation of such magnitude and targeting Al Dahieh to be taken even under the pretext of revenge for the victims, had they been Zionist settlers, let alone when they are Arabs of the occupied Syrian Golan who have rejected the entity’s citizenship and enlistment in its military. In fact, the calculations in such a momentous decision for war are related to all the events which have occurred in the last 10 months, as is the American decision to call the aggression legitimate defense, and to offer the support required in any confrontation – all cool-headed calculations. In the event that the perspective of defense requires justification, the killing of Arab youths can be arranged, thus safeguarding the blood of settlers, while for the entity the blood of Arabs is cheap, and blood can be used as a pretext by the American to justify his support for the entity in accordance with the self-defense theory.
And here is where we understand the following: that during Netanyahu’s visit to Washington, particulars related to the assassination of Fuad Shukr and Ismail Haniyeh were also on the table, agreed on, the plan was made, and the explosion in Majdal Shams and the killing of children took place. In parallel, Russian Intelligence was gathering information and sending it to President Putin who arranged a summit meeting with President Bashar Al Assad, warning of a high level of escalation heading towards the region, and here we find ourselves in the heart of this escalation. So can we believe that it resulted from Netanyahu’s sorrow about the Majdal Shams children, or do we believe that it was a decision taken by Joe Biden and Benyamin Netanyahu to modify terms in the Gaza negotiations as well as the fate of American forces in Syria and Iraq, and that the Majdal Shams children’s blood was spilled to be used as a pretext?
