If we overlook the repeated comments from those who fail to recognize that the Imad 4 facility disproves their claims and the previous American-Israeli narrative about the resistance’s weapons being stored among civilians, and those who exhibit a selective sense of sovereignty – only raising state and citizen concerns when it comes to the resistance, such as criticising the resistance for firing into the air towards occupation sites as a violation of Lebanese sovereignty, as if individual consent were required for using airspace – these individuals display no similar sovereign indignation toward the occupation’s violations by its sites, tanks, aircraft, and warships.
Had similar sentiments been expressed in Vietnam regarding the Viet Cong’s tunnel construction, the American occupation might not have been defeated.
- In contrast to these critics, every Lebanese feels a deep sense of pride, honour, and strength. They recognize that their resistance has invested years, resources, and the efforts of its youth to build formidable capabilities that deter the enemy and make it think twice before contemplating war against Lebanon.
The Imad 4 facility is just one of many, with its number, variety of weapons, and capabilities remaining largely unknown. Yet, Imad 4 stands as a testament to the resistance’s ability to reassure the Lebanese people, revealing that there are many more surprises in store, poised to shake the very foundations of the occupation entity.
- The key point is the reaction from the occupation entity, where Israeli media cautioned against the revealed footage, asserting that the “film released by Hezbollah only shows a fraction of their extensive capabilities.”
The Israeli press also voiced concerns about the party’s tunnel network, characterising the Imad 4 facility video as an “exceptional warning from Hezbollah about their tunnel infrastructure.” They quickly mobilised to comment on and respond to the video, advising: “Beware of the tunnel network.”
- The Israeli website Sroojim expressed amazement at the missile capabilities on display, questioning, “Doomsday weapon?” It highlighted that Hezbollah was offering a glimpse into its secret facilities.
On the other hand, Yedioth Ahronoth characterised the release of a new threat video by Hezbollah, which revealed an underground facility.
The site noted: “The massive tunnels, equipped with computers and lighting, are sufficiently large and deep to accommodate trucks with ease.”
It further described the facility as a “long, illuminated maze with numbered trucks passing through sequentially.” At the video’s conclusion, the rocket launch platform and the facility’s name were prominently shown.
- The Israeli newspaper Maariv acknowledged that “Hezbollah is revealing for the first time its underground city: trucks ready for launching rockets.”
Another Israeli media outlet commented that “a significant portion of the film reveals part of the party’s actual tunnel network, where any form of transportation can be used, except for large passenger planes.”
Other Israeli media focused on the “extensive rocky terrain where the facility is dug,” including Sayyed Nasrallah’s statements and their clear Hebrew translation, describing the video as “a masterfully crafted propaganda piece.”
An Israeli media platform noted that “in addition to the missile shown in Hezbollah’s video, intricate underground pathways for storing rockets are also visible.”
