Amid the accumulating failures of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, the streets within the entity have erupted in protest against the government. It can be said from this moment that “Israel’s Fury” is now directed at Netanyahu. The general strike declared by the Histadrut labour union, supported by hundreds of unions, civic organisations, and municipalities, could escalate into an open-ended strike and is a step towards this outcome unless the government agrees to a successful negotiation process that secures the return of the captives from Gaza before they return as corpses, as happened with six prisoners from Gaza. The government’s and the military’s narrative failed to convince public opinion within the entity that these individuals were killed by Hamas. Hamas asserted that they died as a result of relentless and merciless Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip, using the most lethal and destructive weapons.

It was evident that the situation was entering a major turning point, coinciding with the return of the prisoners’ bodies to the entity, and the failure to establish deterrence against Hezbollah after the Lebanese resistance targeted Unit 8200’s headquarters. This was further exacerbated by the escalating operations in the West Bank in response to the war declared by Netanyahu’s government and the occupying army on the West Bank. The image of this war project solidified as a costly endeavor with no clear outcome. Union and political leaders felt that the entity was headed for collapse unless someone took control of Netanyahu and forced him into an agreement regarding Gaza. Only the public was capable of doing so, leading 300,000 people to take to the streets, demanding a deal to free the captives and end the war immediately.

In the West Bank, fierce battles are being fought by the resistance fighters in Jenin, particularly in its refugee camp, where the occupying army has suffered casualties. However, the shock that stunned the entire entity was the Tarkumiya operation north of Hebron, where the resistance killed three soldiers in a vehicle, hitting them with eleven bullets. The occupying army reported that one resistance fighter was driving the vehicle while another opened fire, killing the three soldiers.

Resistance forces in the West Bank stated that they have reorganised their ranks in preparation for a potentially prolonged confrontation lasting weeks or months. They anticipate the possibility of the conflict spreading to new cities and refugee camps, with settlers becoming involved in attacks on West Bank cities and camps, provoking a broader Palestinian participation in the confrontation.

In Lebanon, Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri addressed the Lebanese and Arabs on the anniversary of the disappearance of Imam Sayyed Musa al-Sadr, stating that the fall of Gaza would be the fall of the Umma, paving the way for projects of division.
