Tehran announced the reopening of its airports after they had been closed from 9 p.m. last night until 6 a.m. this morning as a precautionary measure against a potential attack by the occupying entity, in retaliation for Iran’s response to the assassination of Martyr Commander Ismail Haniyeh and Martyr Commander Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. Tehran stated that the decision to reopen the airports came after confirming the safety of Iranian airspace. This coincided with indications that Israeli preparations for a strike on Iran had stumbled, with ongoing coordination and consultation between Washington and Tel Aviv over the ramifications of an aggression on Iran. Iran’s decision to escalate with a harsher response and the threat to target U.S. bases and interests, along with fears of closing maritime straits and disrupting global oil trade, had complicated these preparations. This was further compounded by military assessment meetings held by the occupying entity’s leadership with U.S. Central Command Chief General Michael Kurilla. Leaks from the occupying entity’s media revealed delays due to damages sustained by airbases and runways, as well as the failure of air defences, which were highlighted in the assessments of Iran’s retaliatory strike.
In Lebanon, the continuation of brutal and criminal air raids targeting the southern suburbs has exposed more evidence of the use of uranium munitions and massive cluster bombs that explode in stages, igniting widespread fires. Yesterday, the southern suburbs, the Bekaa, and the South were subjected to dozens of airstrikes with no purpose but to inflict more death, displacement, and destruction.
On the southern front, the resistance continued to achieve notable success, thwarting infiltration and advance attempts on all fronts. One of its civilian officers reported the results of the last two days of confrontations, confirming 25 dead and 130 wounded in the occupying army’s ranks. Meanwhile, resistance rockets continued to strike northern occupied Palestine and gathering points of the occupying army. However, the significant event was the landing of several rockets in the cities of Haifa and Tiberias, causing injuries in buildings despite the resistance announcing its targeting of nearby military bases. Hebrew media commentators interpreted this as an unspoken activation of the “civilian for civilian” equation, a veiled response to the targeting of the southern suburbs.
