• Al Mayadeen TV deserves admiration and deep respect for its role in the ongoing war since the Al-Aqsa flood. The occupying entity clearly senses Al Mayadeen’s formidable influence, treating its obstruction as part of its war to suppress the truth that Al Mayadeen has managed to deliver to the public. Despite the station’s principled dedication to the Palestinian cause and the choice of resistance, Al Mayadeen has upheld a level of professional integrity that has earned widespread trust.
• When Al Mayadeen lost journalists who sacrificed their lives for truth, the occupying entity sought to intimidate the station’s leadership, including its principled founder and seasoned media figure, Ghassan Ben Jeddou. However, its editorial team and all staff members, without exception, stood as pillars of resilience, choosing to continue on this path of truth, no matter the cost, under the leadership of their chairman.
• Al Mayadeen has achieved a delicate balance, maintaining professional rigour while staying faithfully aligned with the cause of resistance, standing with the people of Palestine, Lebanon, and other Arab and Islamic nations. It has been a steadfast ally to the displaced and a powerful voice for the resistance. The station’s resolve and moral excellence have only grown, undeterred by the occupying entity’s attempts at reprisal through targeting its offices.
• In honouring Al Mayadeen, we also affirm that media institutions and journalists can indeed uphold the honour, ethics, and professional standards of the field while demonstrating the highest degrees of patriotism, integrity, and Arab identity. In an age where pettiness, malice, treachery, and cheap sensationalism are rampant – where many media outlets have become dens of political and intelligence debauchery, and where some journalists have turned into jesters and informants – the worth of true journalism shines brightly. Al Mayadeen provides a refreshing clarity in its media coverage, an oasis of pure water in a time when some media waters are tainted with sewage.
• To Al Mayadeen, we extend our salute for offering a breath of fresh air and a whiff of fragrance in a landscape where some prefer to spread toxins and stench.
